Warmer weather means the Breezeway Gallery in Wilsonville is open again, featuring Norfolk artist Michelle Jefferies for its grand opening in May.
Born on a small farm in Waterford, Jefferies has created art all her life but only recently begun to show her work, which is mostly done in acrylics.
" Creating beauty from the ordinary causes the excitement and intensity that keeps me at my easel," says Jefferies. " By choosing familiar compositions, using colour theory, layering, use of light and shadow, I strive to stimulate the onlooker's senses and emotions."
Meet the artist during a reception on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.. Her works will be featured on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. at the Breezeway, located on Concession 3, Green Number 508. For private showings, contact Brian Babineau at 443-7906 or e-mail babineb@sympatico.ca.
