Trilliium grandiflorum Ontario chose the trillium as its provincial flower in 1937. This white flower grows in the forest in the springtime. This painting is done on a 2 foot square gallery wrapped canvas. Although this painting appears to be white; If you can get a close up look you will see that the petals were painted with a variety of colour washes, saving actual white to the very final touches. This painting is on display at the NORFOLK ARTS CENTER GALLERY from July 8th to Sept 9th 2010
